Description: Companies need to increase ambition, action and accountability toward net zero. There is strong momentum to move toward greater accountability on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting, with various regulatory bodies such as, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), all recently enforcing existing and proposing additional requirements.

Accurate accounting of GHG emissions, progress tracking and public reporting are essential steps in accelerating decarbonization to achieve net zero. Thereby, companies are faced with complex and fast-evolving net-zero and carbon accounting landscape. There is also increasing scrutiny on companies as they reduce emissions.

In this session, we will examine the complexities and dependencies in net-zero target setting, GHG emissions accounting and progress reporting landscape and provide insights into how the ecosystem can come together to better equip organizations to drive towards net zero.
