BuildingToCOP: Building a resilient and zero emissions future

Description: This is the closing session of the BuildingtoCOP Coalition’s program, of which WBCSD is a partner. It will summarize the highlights of the thematic sessions on finance, resilience and decarbonization and frame the built environment as a critical sector to achieve the needed transition to a resilient and zero emissions future. Examples of action and implementation demonstrated throughout COP27 will be shared.
In the format of a fire-side chat, this session will celebrate the progress of the sector and serve as a reminder of the work that still needs to happen, outlining the necessary steps to take before COP28, before 2025, and beyond. Curated by WBCSD and other core partners of the Building to COP Coalition, this session will present a united voice from the sector on solutions for adaptation and mitigation and share the willingness and readiness for more enhanced regulations.
