Avoided emissions: Adoption & standardization in real economy and finance

With a focus on avoided emissions, this session will:
- Demonstrate the progress on the development of standardized assessment frameworks and the link to corporate climate action and transition finance.
- Obtain further commitment from, and contribute to the application by, industry, policy, and financial institutions.
- Strengthen the exchange and alignment between
- standard setters and practitioners to ensure practicability, robustness, and outline a path forward.
This session will also introduce The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and WBCSD’s efforts to build trusted mechanisms that mobilize financial resources to accelerate the deployment of low-carbon solutions. It will also focus on the progress and perspectives from standard setters, industry practitioners, financial institutions and policy actors.
