Aligning nature metrics to accelerate business action

Nature is facing unprecedented threats. Achieving the collective goals under the Global Biodiversity Framework will require more than individual company efforts; it requires a system-level transformation. This is the type of transformation WBCSD’s Roadmaps to Nature Positive are set up to drive by bringing together peers to develop a shared agenda to accelerate nature-positive ambitions, actions and accountability. Corporate actions on nature are falling short because it’s difficult to manage the inherent complexities and navigate the rapidly evolving corporate accountability frameworks.  

This plenary session is focused on the importance of metrics in driving corporate action through examples from systems like agri-food, forestry, energy and the built environment. It will highlight how metrics can help companies set targets, measure progress and improve their practices.
