This COP29 High-Level Roundtable will focus on decarbonizing the buildings and construction sector. Emphasizing climate resilience and energy efficiency this session will bring together ministers, mayors, and private-sector leaders to showcase transformative climate solutions that drive economic growth, job creation, and health improvements while advancing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and public-private financing. This session aims to contribute to mobilize government action on built environment decarbonization and will form the inaugural ministerial meeting of the Intergovernmental Council on Buildings & Climate.
