The role of business in accelerating the delivery of healthy and sustainable diets

The world’s food systems are significant contributors to the main challenges facing humanity: climate change, nature loss, as well as inequity which includes malnutrition, hunger and food insecurity. These challenges over the last two years have been exacerbated by supply chain disruptions linked to the covid-19 pandemic and geopolitical uncertainties, including most recently the war in Ukraine. This C-level roundtable will provide an opportunity to discuss the key role of the private sector in delivering healthy diets from sustainable food systems, and discuss the policies, financial investments and accountability mechanisms needed to scale progress urgently and rapidly. This session is hosted by WBCSD together with WWF and the One Planet Network as part of the One Planet Forum “Appetite for Change” side-event to the Stockholm + 50 conference.
