Launch of a Global Corporate Accountability Framework

Description: To showcase and fully account for the contribution of business action, and to stimulate more, the world needs an overarching, trusted, global accountability framework that can highlight and track business contributions to climate, nature, pollution and circularity action targets. Leading up to Stockholm +50, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), in close collaboration with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), curated the Stockholm Action Agenda: Transforming Global Value Chains which calls for a global accountability and transparency mechanism. During this session, we will launch the global accountability mechanism proposed in the action agenda and showcase how it can create greater transparency throughout value chains. Speakers for this session include Dominic Waughray, Senior Advisor to the CEO of WBCSD and Eric Usher, Head of the UNEP Finance Initiative.
