Description: The climate emergency and nature loss are material financial risks. The global economy faces annual losses of $2.7 trillion by 2030 if ecological tipping points are reached. Also, global annual spending to protect and restore nature needs to triple this decade to about $350 billion by 2030, and rise to $536 billion by 2050. Regulators and investors are increasing scrutiny on companies to demonstrate that climate and nature is embedded in corporate decision-making through frameworks like those developed by the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
This session will explore how leading companies are embedding climate- and nature-related into decision-making and demonstrating this effectively through consistent, comparable, reliable, and assurable corporate reporting.
