Driving food system transformation through accounting for the True Value of Food

As part of the Pre-UN Food Systems Summit, WBCSD will (co-)host a series of sessions to mobilize private sector solutions and actions.

Real costs affiliated with natural, social, and human capital impacts are not reflected in today’s economy, business accounting, investor valuation models and in the price we all pay for food.

This parallel session will be used to:

  1. Demonstrate private sector progress on accounting for externalities – the True Value of Food
  2. Identify enablers needed to accelerate private sector change
  3. Share best practices on private and public sector collaborations
