Creating 100% living incomes and wages in food systems

27 July 2021, 6:30 – 7:20 pm CEST

As part of the Pre-UN Food Systems Summit, WBCSD will (co-)host a series of sessions to mobilize private sector solutions and actions.

Addressing inequality is essential to building a sustainable food system. Income polarization and wage stagnation are key drivers, alongside the rising costs of essential services, work fragility and transition, persistent gender and race gaps and failing safety nets. At this session, private and public sector senior leaders will introduce a Coalition to accelerate action on the most effective levers to building living incomes and wages by:

  • Underscoring the urgency and relevance of addressing inequality to sustainable food system transformation
  • Demonstrating business and Member State ambition and leadership
  • Aligning around most effective levers
  • Engaging additional Champions and Partners.

This is one of the main sessions of the Pre-Summit of the UN Food Systems Summit, therefore please register to the whole event to attend.
