Chief Sustainability Officers for SDGs 2022

13 July 2022, 9:00 – 10:30 am EDT (15:00 – 16:30 CEST), Online

The lingering COVID-19 pandemic and the disruptions from the Ukraine crises in the short term and the looming climate crisis in the long term are challenging our ability to achieve the SDGs. 2022 will be a critical year for the 2030 Agenda to relaunch implementation efforts on an accelerated path toward the future we want.

Against this backdrop, the 2022 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) will conduct in-depth reviews of the progress made around SDG 4 on quality education, SDG 5 on gender equality, SDG 14 on life below water, SDG 15 on life on land, and SDG 17 on partnerships for the Goals – all goals which sit at the heart of efforts to realize the transition toward a more equitable and nature-positive world.

Jointly convened by WBCSD and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) at 2022 HLPF, this special event will bring together business leaders and sustainable development champions for an engaging virtual dialogue to explore the commitments that leading companies are now making to drive progress to tackle inequality and arrest nature loss in order to put us on course for a world where everyone can live well, within planetary boundaries.
