Overcoming the impossible: Making supply chain emissions transparency the norm
Businesses are showing climate leadership that was unimaginable five years ago, but despite increasing efforts, the emissions curve keeps getting worse. One of the main reasons is that we still lack a clear and consistent means of calculating and tracking granular primary Scope 3 carbon emissions. This session discusses what businesses can do to address this challenge across value chains, focusing on key solutions and pre-requisites to ensuring emissions transparency becomes the norm.
Part of Bloomberg’s Sustainable Business Summit Global 2021, the panel moderated by Claire O’Neill, Managing Director, Climate & Energy, WBCSD, includes Jules Kortenhorst CEO, Rocky Mountain Institute; Rebecca Marmot, Chief Sustainability Officer, Unilever and Dickon Pinner, Senior Partner, Global Leader Sustainability Practice, McKinsey & Company Inc.
