Decarbonizing ASEAN’s Built Environment Part 2: Policy Dialogue
Date: 21 May 2026
Time: 11:00 – 12:30
Venue: Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre Level 4, Singapore
Partner: Gprnt
This dialogue co-hosted by WBCSD and Greenprint will discuss the key findings from the business and stakeholders workshop (Part 1) happening earlier during Ecosperity week, grounded in the Market Transformation Action Agenda for the Built Environment. Its aim is to create a strategic opportunity for businesses and policy makers in ASEAN to turn energy efficiency and whole life carbon performance into key drivers of business performance and innovation.
The participants will share knowledge on emerging best practice approaches around Whole Life Carbon measurement, as a common language and approach to drive decision-making along the value chain. They will discuss how such approaches can be supported and mainstreamed to make energy and carbon performance core drivers of business decisions and therefore scale decarbonization efforts.
The dialogue will also benefit from early insights of WBCSD’s upcoming Business Breakthrough Barometer 2026, providing a business lens on the net zero transition across key sectors including buildings, cement, steel, and power.
The outcome will be a shared system-level understanding of how Whole Life Carbon approaches can enable the market transformation towards a net zero built environment, the benefits this brings in terms of innovation and green economic development, and how policy makers can support the transition.
