WBCSD will soon be releasing an update of its Vision 2050, which calls for business to work towards the SDGs and bring about a world in which 9+ billion can live well, within planetary boundaries, by mid-century. COVID-19 has highlighted more acutely than ever the need for a reset, and a subsequent transformation, of the systems that make up our world. This virtual CEO Roundtable will explore the immediate steps that business can take around three fundamental mindset shifts that these transformations will rely on:
- A shift in the model of capitalism that underpins our global economy to one that preserves and enhances natural, social and financial capital
- A shift in our approach to resilience that improves business’s ability to anticipate and prepare for change.
- A shift towards a more regenerative mindset that supports the restoration of damaged communities and natural systems.
Business and government must work together to lead these required transformations. Senior business leaders will discuss the actions that business should prioritize while also discussing the policy support that the private sector should be seeking in conversations with policy makers around the world.
Liaison Delegates may join their Council Member and attend as observers.
